Kendra Bowling MSN, RN

Kendra Bowling, MSN, RN, (she/her) is a registered nurse with almost 15 years of healthcare experience and an earnest passion for mental health. She has experience working in reproductive health, forensics, emergency medicine, and community health, and she has had the immense pleasure of spending the last two years working in occupational health. She is currently working in the onsite clinic on the IU Health New Downtown Hospital construction site, which is the largest project of its kind in the country. The clinic is available daily to the over 2,000 hardworking tradespeople for not only job-related needs, but also personal physical and mental health visits. She is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Indianapolis, teaching in the areas of fundamentals, reproductive health, and mental health. Her passion for mental health began at a young age when she herself was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. The shame and stigma surrounding mental health caused her to struggle with her diagnoses initially. However, through therapy and a supportive school environment, she was able to see that this was just a part of her story—not the whole story. She now lovingly embraces her mental health journey and works to provide care, education, and resources to anyone in need of mental health support. In her free time, Kendra enjoys tending to her many, many houseplants and spending time with her amazing partner, five children, and two adorable fur babies.
